First and foremost….. Our 18/1 shot didn't come in but it wasn't particularly far off. RSL drew 1-1 with New York RB with Thierry HENRY grabbing the equaliser for the away side whilst DC United defeated Toronto 3-0. We selected BTTS&WIN for both RSL and Toronto but this wasn't our night to be as we were one goal short on both matches.
Next week should be a big week for the team here at Sport Tipster as we will be looking for the best bets for the coming season as we will have a thorough sit down and read all the pre-season information available to us. We will analyse the pre-season reviews given to us by our excellent writers and make some comprehensive notes before posting our predictions.
At the time of writing, the David Wheatley's SUNDERLAND blog is proving to be very popular amongst our readers although that could still change over the next few days. Richard BOWES'S Everton blog is running a close second in the 'blogging footballing league'.
John Sharp's (Sharpie) golf column has gone down an absolute storm and this has attracted quite a few readers whilst John Mitchell's racing blurb is a close second in the viewing stakes. The golfing expert's 94/1 pick of Marc Leishman in the WGC Event is doing very well….. he is the leader in the WGC Event! Go Sharpie!!!
John Mitchell had a good day today and tipped the horse DALKOVA which won at 10/1 so congratulations to anybody who had this horse at double figures.
There should be some further previews coming up over the next few days. Simon Driscoll will be preparing a TRANSFER NEWS article over the weekend whilst Sharpie is going to compose a blog about SPREAD BETTING and 'NORMAL' BETTING.
(CROATIA) ZAGREB VS. LOKOMOTIVA ZAGREB: This match screams goals and it does stand out a mile for us. It is the game between Zagreb and Lokomotiva Zagreb in the Croatian League. This is scheduled for a 7:15pm kick off. The last 4 games has seen two wins for Lokomotiva and two draws with the last league game seeing a 4-2 victory for the away side. Zagreb have started the season with a 3-1 and 3-2 defeat where as Lokomotiva has started the season with a 4-1 victory and a 4-3 defeat after leading Dinamo Zagreb 3-1.
We identified this match yesterday for a BTTS WIN for Lokomotiva at nearly 3/1 but punters have obviously been lumping on and now you can get a best price of 5/2. We believe this is still worth taking.
BOXING: Frankie GAVIN takes on Leonard BUNDU for the European 147lb Welterweight Title tomorrow night in what should be an absolute cracker of a bout. GAVIN is a class act and for those who follow boxing regularly will know the man from the Midlands was the first Englishman to become a world amateur champion in 2007. Since he has hit the paid ranks, Frankie has endured a steady route to get to fight for the European title under the astute guidance of Frank Warren. He has amassed 19 wins with 12 knockouts since turning professional and the team here can see Frankie grinding out a close points decision over the tough Italian. For those, who turn into Sky Sports regularly will have seen 39 year old BUNDU in action against Colchester's Lee PURDY in what would best be described as a hum-dinger of a fight with both fighters leaving everything in the ring back in December 2013. BUNDU claimed victory that night against Lee Purdy but we feel he'll come up slightly short against GAVIN but taking the fight right down to the wire. The odds on a GAVIN points victory is only 4/7 but if we double that up with a Lokomotiva BTTS and WIN we should get around 5.67 with Ladbrokes.
Don't forget people, these suggestions are only here as a guideline…..
