DAILY BLOG: Wednesday 26th November 2014

I had two out of three winners last night. I said Chelsea by a one goal margin and how wrong was I? They won 5-0 but I said this should be done for low stakes. PSG scored three goals at 5/4 and my other tip Sporting came flying in at around 4/9. Young Chris Palmer (@palmitty) made his début with 7/2 treble which came flying in so hopefully more of the same today please. The apprentice Tiler will be looking to provide some more tips over the coming days. He has informed me he studies form a lot and regularly picks his winners. The proof was in the pudding yesterday.

The Golf guys both had winners last week so check out their previews this week. Ross's preview click HERE. Sharpie's preview click HERE

PALMER'S PUNT = R.Madrid win & Over 2.5 Match Goals and A. Madrid to lead at any-time 1/4. Double pays Just over Evens.

This game, despite the lowly odds should be on everyone’s accumulator. REAL MADRID BTTS&WIN over BASEL is pretty much in the bag as far as I'm concerned. Carlo ANCELOTTI has indicated he is resting the full backs and Sami KHEDIRA has not travelled but otherwise it is a full squad to choose from. BASEL will really be going for it as they feel they can take second spot from Liverpool so I expect goals in this clash. BASEL'S coach wants to see "ATTACKING AND COURAGEOUS FOOTBALL" but is that all talk? I'm not so sure you want to be doing that against Real Madrid as they will pay the price. I wouldn’t be surprised to see four or five goals and no doubt RONALDO will be on target as ever. You don’t need to be a genius to work this out. Javier HERNANDEZ is 5/1 to break the deadlock and that is reasonable in my opinion because if he doesn't start you’ll get your stake back providing a goal hasn’t been scored by the time he comes onto the field from the substitutes bench. Over 3.5 Match Goals is only paying Evens which is a bit skinny in my opinion. RONALDO is a standout 12/1 to get a hat-trick with BETFAIR and this is a big price so lump on that if you can get it. When I say lump on, stick a cheeky £5 on it. Hills are going 11/4 on RONALDO getting two of the goals this evening.

Lesser known Bookies WINNER and TITANBET are offering 5/1 on Real Madrid coming from behind to win. I don’t have an account with either and I’ll be surprised if anyone does but hey-ho. I’m sure they are very good but none of the others are offering such market.

I’m favouring ANDERLECT against GALATASARAY this evening because the young Belgium team fought tremendously back from 3-0 to Arsenal to earn a 3-3 draw. ANDERLECT were beaten at the weekend but maybe they had one eye on this midweek fixture? Personally I can see ANDERLECT stealing a 2-1 victory but anything can happen in the Champions League and GALATASARAY’S experience may prevail. Both teams to score and Over 2.5 Match Goals is offering odds against so I’m recommending anything here. Anthony VANDEN BORRE netted twice against ARSENAL and he is 12/1 to score at any time.

GALATASARAY were stuffed 3-0 at home this weekend and could barely muster any shots on target against middle of the road Turkish team and were lucky to earn a point when they played ANDERLECT on Match day one so this is the reason I’m opposing them.

Both ARSENAL and DORTMUND have injuries going into this clash tonight but maybe the team from North London can take all three points. Dortmund won the first encounter 2-0 so Arsenal will be seeking revenge over the Germans. Ladbrokes are offering 6/1 on SANCHEZ breaking the deadlock and this should be considered if you like a FGS bet. I think punters are wary of backing Arsenal and this is reflected in their price. They are 8/5 for a home victory which is quite appealing for the casual fan but I’m not entirely convinced after their 2-1 defeat to Man United at the weekend. Both to score if offering a measly 4/9.

MONACO have scored one and conceded one in the group stages so far. How boring is that? The coach has already had this to say “We have a game plan for this that is not too far off our previous matches. With that we've made it to second place in the group. We will try to minimise the risks, especially switching from defence to attack. LEVERKUSEN put us under pressure on match day one – we have to be efficient when we have a chance to attack”. Looking at the statistics then it has be under 2.5 Match Goals but if LEVERKUSEN score early then they could force the French side into changing their tactics. Less than 3 Match goals is paying 10/11. SON HEUNG-MIN is best priced at 9/2 to score first. He has netted 5 in 11 league games this season.

Brendan ROGERS says Liverpool will be seriously motivated for tonight and his side will get a result if they play well. LIVERPOOL are 19/20 for the win and I’m not tempted by that and in all fairness there isn’t a market that tempts me here. LUDOGORETS RAZGRAD are 4/9 to score just one goal and this is about as good as it gets to be honest. Judging by Liverpool’s form I wouldn't be confident in picking them as they've not done me any favours this season. In fact, the 8/1 on offer on Brendan being the next boss in the EPL to go is the best bet!

MALMO are 10/11 to score tonight and I think this is another good bet as I think injury-hit JUVENTUS will struggle a bit in Sweden. The Italians have been in great form recently but MALMO should be full of beans seeing as the domestic league is over. Or will they be short of match practice?

Good write up as always ST – in complete agreement with the Liverpool game, one to watch (maybe) but nothing jumps out at me to tempt me to part with my wonga.

For me it’s all about corners tonight

    Real Madrid RT5 4/6
    Arsenal o/9 match corners 5/6

Worth a gold nugget or three in my eye

Sorry, it’s a bet365 market “Race to 5 corners” meaning I’m betting on Real getting to 5 corners first.

Even with a weakened starting 11 I can’t see anything but Real pressure

For anyone interested Paddy Power are actually offering the Real Madrid to come from behind and win market.

1 out of 2 tonight, shame they couldn’t find one more corner in the last 20 mins for the double in the arsenal game.
