Friggin’ Benfica couldn’t even score one goal! The League Leaders of Portugal with 41 goals from 17 games (before tonight) looked a sure thing to score 2+ goals tonight but came unstuck against Paços de Ferreira. Angers did the business with one goal and Napoli scored twice but Benfica screwed up the rest. Gonzalo HIGUAIN, Antonio Di NATALE, BESIKTAS and the African Cup of Nations were all highlighted and in hindsight I should've gone for these games instead. Oh well....

SPORT TIPSTER BET1: READING WIN @ 11/8
SPORT TIPSTER BET 2: BIRMINGHAM DRAW NO BET
SPORT TIPSTER BET 3: PRESTON TO SCORE 2 TEAM GOALS @ 7/4 CORALS
SPORT TIPSTER BET 4: CHELSEA BTTS&WIN @ 27/10
£1 BTTS&WIN: MK DONS, CHELSEA AND PRESTON @89/1 bwin (add DERBY to make 331/1)

BTTS: DERBY V BLACKBURN, AC MILAN V LAZIO
WINS: CHELSEA, MK DONS, ALGERIA, CHESTERFIELD

READING are 11/8 to beat MILLWALL tomorrow and I’m 60% certain they will win. They beat Cardiff 2-1 away at the weekend and Steve Clarke may have turned things around at the Madjeski Stadium. The Royals are my home town club and it is time for me to do ‘The Big Footy Preview’ on them. The Russian striker POGREBNYAK looks revitalised and I’m tipping him to bag one against the boys from South London if given the opportunity. Since Murray has gone back to Palace, ‘The Pog’ has held the line very well and has chased down everything. The wingers McCleary, Blackman and Robson-Kanu are looking a lot better under Clarke than previous boss Nigel Adkins. The wide men will be supplying ‘The Pog’ will some crosses into the box so hopefully he'll score some more goals. Now Reading are playing better this should see us surge up the table and into Play-Off contention. Pavel Pogrebnyak is 6/1 to bag the opener.

BIRMINGHAM are a whopping 14/5 to beat Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow which is far too big. Gary Rowett has performed a minor miracle at St. Andrews and I expect The Blues to get at least a point tomorrow in Yorkshire. Birmingham have four wins in six games and they will not fear toothless Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls have scored 4 goals in 8 Home Games so I’m prepared to oppose them and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Clayton DONALDSON on the score sheet.  He bagged two against Wigan and three against Forest (or the other way around) a few weeks back. I saw him play for Brentford last year and was thoroughly impressed. You can get 7/1 at PP on a DONALDSON / BIRMINGHAM WIN/SCORE DOUBLE. Failing that take the DRAW NO BET or straight Brum win at 14/5 with Bet365.

Finally I’m liking PRESTON to do the business over Walsall. They trail 2-0 to Walsall from the first leg and Simon Grayson is adamant they can overturn the deficit.  "We can go on the road and score two goals at any team in this division. We've gone to places like Leyton Orient and won 2-0 and other clubs so we will go there with the belief and confidence, play with our head as well as our hearts and certainly try and enjoy this game." I can see there being goals in this game and Preston have enough fire power to defeat Walsall.  Corals are offering 7/4 for PNE to get two goals.

Australia win & BTTS worth a small play in the Asia Cup game (9am). It’s priced at 7/2 with Coral, 3/1 with Bet365.

With Japan eliminated in the QFs, Australia will be eager to impress in front of their own fans and progress to the final.

They can be leaky at the back though and UAE have scored in 9 of their last 11 matches.
