DAILY BLOG: Tuesday 25th November 2014

Well, what can I say? Three tips from me and Three losses! I'm not going to make any excuses, blame the dog, blame the cat, blame the referee or even suggest it was a 'difficult night'. I thought it was a good set of fixtures to choose from which is why I suggested three recommendations but unfortunately none of them won (Southampton 1-1 and Genoa 1-1). I put £20 on each so I was £62 (£2 for fun bets) out of pocket by the end of the night. At the end of the day you're only as good as your last tip! I can't talk about my £1440 win from Friday all the time.

At the end of the day, I'm the Tipster so the buck stops with me. I have to study some more and redeem myself with some winning tips. To the best of my knowledge that is the first time I've suggested all losers.

Raaljaca(@DailyGoalsAlert) had a winner when he selected a treble @ 10/11. He selected three teams to score one goal and this proved fruitful. Raal swears by goals so I think I may give this a go when the opportunity arises. He's also informed me he will be writing a couple of blogs this week so keep your eyes peeled for those.

I will be having a look at the fixtures during the course of the morning to see if I can provide some decent recommendations. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions then drop a message in the comment box.

£1 BTTS&Win = Chelsea, Bayern and MK Dons @ 44/1 with Hills. I've done it, have  you?

Let’s head to the Champions League. First of is BATE against PORTO. The Portuguese outfit have already stuffed them 6-0 and they need a win here for sure to seal top spot. BATE have shipped 19 goals in the group stage so far and their boss has already suggested they will defend and try to hit PORTO on the counter attack. Porto are 3/5 for the win and 3/1 for a BTTS&Win. BATE are not completely useless and won 4-0 in the league on Saturday. Don’t forget they’ve beaten Bilbao so not entirely the whipping boys. Jackson Martinez is 7/2 to open the scoring and if he doesn’t score first he’ll net at some point. Yacine BRAHIMI has been on the score sheet a lot recently and he is 8/1 to score first. I can only see a PORTO win to be honest but I don’t see them getting more than two or three goals at the most. Boylesports are offering PORTO 17/10 to get over 7 or more corners. They had 8 at the weekend and 9 when they played BATE last time around. Just a thought as they will be attacking the home side a lot.

ROMA need to beat CSKA Moscow to grab that sought after second spot. Can they do it? Of course they can. They go to Russia on the back of a 2-1 win at the weekend and knowing they’ve already beaten CSKA 5-1 on Match day One. Ever present Bebras Natcho is out tonight and that is a big blow for CSKA. Rudi Garcia is talking about getting a draw and this should be considered if you are thinking of selecting a ROMA win. CSKA have lost their last two league games but I wouldn’t go reading anything into that. Personally I think this has a score draw written all over it but Roma will be welcoming back TOTTI and GERVINHO and this might should swing it in their favour. OVER 2.5 MATCH GOALS PAYS AROUND 4/5 AND THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED.

APOEL boss Giorgos Donis urges his side to "work like robots" to counter BARCELONA tonight. Lionel MESSI is level with Raúl as the UEFA Champions League top scorer so look to the Argentine to score tonight. Shoulder biting SUÁREZ should be in the team tonight and he’ll be looking to break his duck and net his first goal for Barcelona. SUÁREZ is 9/2 with Paddy Power to score first whilst MESSI is 11/4. I THINK CORRECT SCORE OF 1-0, 2-0 AND 3-0 SHOULD BE CONSIDERED. The reason for this? APOEL have gone 275 minutes without a goal, their worst spell since February 2012. Barcelona beat APOEL 1-0 on Match Day one but if you think Barcelona are going to run riot then 7-0 is 150/1. MESSI is 11/4 to get 2+ goals.

MAN CITY need a win tonight and they need to do it without some key players. The following players are believed to be out: Džeko (calf), Fernandinho (suspended), Kolarov (calf/shin), Silva (knee), Touré (suspended). BAYERN MUNICH have a few players out also: Alaba (knee), Badstuber (thigh), Martínez (knee), Lahm (ankle), Pizarro (thigh), Reina (calf), Starke (foot), Thiago Alcántara (knee). However looking, at the possible first team selections Bayern still look a lot stronger. However, what concerns me is that Man City may have that extra urgency to get a win because anything less than that and they’re out of the Champions League. BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE IS THE BEST BET BUT THIS IS ONLY PAYING 1/2. Bayern are 11/4 for a BTTS&WIN and this is a great price considering you only get them at 7/4 usually. Muller is 11/2 to score first tonight AGUERO is a whopping 6/1 to bag the opener. Josep Guardiola, Bayern coach: "We have to defend our team, our club; we can't just be here for fun".

CHELSEA are 4/5 to win tonight against SCHALKE and this is a great price I think. To the best of my knowledge they will be at full strength and Diego COSTA is 4/1 to net the opener. However I like the look of a CHELSEA BTTS&WIN at 14/5 as José Mourinho has said "Obviously it would be better for us to qualify tomorrow. We have so many matches [eight] in December, so if we can avoid a Champions League decider that would be very good for us. The reality is that we need points and we will try to get them here. If we cannot, we still have our last game against Sporting." The Bookies are not taking any chances with Chelsea netting twice as this is only on offer at 10/11 so out of the two I would choose a Chelsea win at 4/5. The first game on Match day one ended in a 1-1 draw at the Bridge. The Germans have had patchy form in the league but beat high flying Wolfsburg 3-2 at the weekend.  Klaas Jan HUNTELAAR is 7/1 to break the deadlock and for a man of his calibre, I would have £5 on it. He’s netted 4 in 11 games in the league and got the equaliser in the first game. I think Chelsea will nick by a one goal margin. CHELSEA TO WIN BY A ONE GOAL MARGIN IS 13/5.

This has already been described as men vs boys and I think this will be the case tonight when PSG put AJAX to the sword this evening. Zlatan IBRAHIMOVIC is back in action and he’s 3/1 to bag the opener although I DO FEEL PSG WILL SCORE 3+ GOALS TONIGHT AND THIS IS AVAILABLE AT 31/21 888SPORT. They need a win tonight in the hope of nicking first spot from the clutches of Barcelona and I believe the Dutch Champions will be the recipients of such a beating. PSG are in good form and nicked a 3-2 win over Metz on Friday night which contributed to my £1400 win so I will re-invest some of that cash in them scoring three goals at home tonight. Ajax manager De BOER has said “We'll try and prove we can take points away from home. It's really difficult when you're facing players like [Edinson] Cavani, [Zlatan] Ibrahimović or [Ezekiel] Lavezzi, who are top players, very fast. However, I do not want to see my players play with fear in their heart. Paris may seem weakened, but that's only on paper. With [Blaise] Matuidi, [Adrien] Rabiot and [Javier] Pastore, you have quite a talented midfield”.

Luiz Adriano (SHAKTAR) needs one goal to break Cristiano Ronaldo's record of nine for a group stage. He is available at 5/4 to score at any time against the Spanish side BILBAO who are fielding a weakened side tonight or so it is believed. I'm staying clear of this match as there is no value for me.

SPORTING should come overcome MARIBOR tonight but I think they will face some difficulty in doing so. Will the away side score? Quite possibly. Will the home side win? I think they will and the bookies are offering 2/1 for a BTTS&Win for SPORTING tonight. The best bet here is for SPORTING TO SCORE 2+ GOALS @4/9.

Elsewhere, I fancy Jermaine Beckford at 2/1 to score at any time for Preston who are away to Oldham. This is a JPT 'Derby' match and I can see a close encounter. Preston are 7/4 to win the game which is quite good. Preston reserve team manager has said “I think Jermaine will be champing at the bit to put a Preston shirt on now. He’s a great signing and has got goals galore in him,” he said. He is 13/2 to score first. MK Dons should beat out of sorts Rochdale in the league and are best priced at 3/4. I've not had a chance to look at the Conference but will scan it and see if I can find any bets. I will be posting a BTTS&Win bet later.

My friend Chris Palmer has been in my ear all week telling me what a fantastic tipper he is, so I'm giving him the limelight today. His tips are as follows: Macclesfield Draw No Bet, Roma to Score and Man City and Bayern both to score. This pays around 3/1 I believe.

For me it’s all about the Porto game tonight, my single of the day is o1.5 Porto tg @8/11. Although i do like the promising look of your corner bet suggestion!

MK Dons game looks set for goals but I’m not keen on the slim odds for o2.5mg.
