DAILY BLOG: SUN 25TH JUNE 2016 (2016 Total 13.34+)

There was no bet yesterday and I'm staying away from the football as Matt Kirby is on something like 12 points for the month so it is best if we just follow what he writes. There is a monster evening of boxing and I'm buzzing to say the least. I have put together some good suggestions but my main bet of the day and I think it is worth 2 points is the Dillian  Whyte one. In fact, I'm going more but I'm not saying the amount. Also my tally could swing a lot today. I've gone for Haye / Joshua double a while back and David Haye won last month and now we are waiting on Joshua to do the good within 3 rounds. I staked £500 and am waiting on £431 profit so I need to work out the maths for that. Use the below as a guide only!!

Felix Cash Round 1
Felix Cash v Yailton Neves - Round Betting
*It might venture into round 2

Conor Benn Round 1
Conor Benn v Lukas Radic - Round Betting
*Radic is crap! Enough said.

Anthony Ogogo by Decision or Technical Decision
Anthony Ogogo v Frane Radnic - Method of Victory
*There is no value in the KO and Radnic has gone the distance with two unbeaten European prospects

Under 5.5
Dillian Whyte v Ivica Bacurin - Total Rounds

John Wayne Hibbert by KO TKO or Disqualification
John Wayne Hibbert v Andrea Scarpa - Method of Victory
*Not heard of this other fella but looking at his record he has fought people with losing records. I actually like Hibbert and think he is a good European level fighter*

Chris Eubank Jr Round 4-6
Chris Eubank Jr v Tom Doran - Round Group Betting
*A bit risky but I think Doran falls around the middle rounds. Junior will execute those uppercuts*

Under 3.5
Anthony Joshua v Dominic Breazeale - Total Rounds
*Personally I think Breazeale goes in round 2*

*George Groves to beat Martin Murray but I'm not sure what method. I wouldn't rule out a KO for Groves. Everyone thinks is going the distance but I'm not convinced*

*No value in the Porter versus Thurman fight and it will probably go the distance*

    Sunday 26th June 2016

In your Euro 2016 Stats email today:

    Cagey beginnings…
    Day 15 – standout stats & prices…
Irish can hold out ‘til Half Time…
Two class acts at 9/2 and 7/1…
Good morning and welcome to Day 15 of your Euro 2016 service…

    Cagey beginnings…

It was a cagey start to the knockout rounds, with a 1-0 and two other games going to Extra Time yesterday.

One result went our way with Poland eventually getting past Switzerland on Penalties, landing our To Qualify bet.

Wales v Northern Ireland was painfully tight and came nowhere near making it a fifth straight Over 2.5 Goals game for the Welsh (won 1-0).

Our 25/1 tournament outsiders Croatia froze a bit when they got their big moment, playing out a frustratingly unambitious 0-0 with Portugal – before being stung on the counter attack when just minutes away from a Penalty Shootout (lost 1-0 After Extra Time).

On to today’s games now and the action gets underway with a big one at 2.00pm…

    Day 15 – standout stats and prices…

Having studied the stats, prices and markets – here’s my opinion of the best betting value today…

    France v Republic of Ireland

    2.00pm – ITV1
    Stade de Lyon

    Match odds: France 1/2 (1.50) Draw 3/1 (4.00) Rep of Ireland 9/1 (10.00)

To Qualify: France 1/6 (1.16), Rep of Ireland 9/2 (5.50)

Irish can hold out ‘til Half Time…

    Key stat:

So far in the tournament all 3 France games and all 3 Ireland games have been 0-0 at Half Time
That stat isn’t just a quirk – it tells us something about the type of game both teams have been playing…

France had a 0-0 with Switzerland when already qualified, and didn’t score the winner until the 89th minute in their two previous Group games.

Ireland struggled to put their chances away v Sweden (1-1 final score), hardly came close to scoring when losing 3-0 to Belgium and beat Italy with a late goal.

As underdogs against both Italy and Belgium the Irish held their own in the first half, and in Euro 2016 Qualifying they also had Germany 0-0 at Half Time both home & away.

I’m not going to predict which way any late drama might take this game, but the stats and form say the Half Time Draw is the pick here.

Half Time – Draw is a best price 21/20 (2.05) with Stan James, MarathonBet, Evens (2.00) Bet365, SportingBet, Betfair Sportsbook.

Back two class acts for Man of the Match…

We’re in profit from our Man of the Match picks so far with 6/1 and 14/1 winners landed, and in today’s two other games two men standout in that market…

As with France v Ireland, the two evening games feature a strong favourite taking on an outsider – Germany are 1/6 (1.17) To Qualify v Slovakia and Belgium are 3/10 (1.30) to get past Hungary.

With a tight set of knockout games so far and plenty of low-scoring games overall (Germany have kept 3 Clean Sheets out of 3, Belgium 2 out of 3…), it could pay to look to the classier players and/ creative midfielders to make the difference this evening…

    Key stats:

A midfielder has won the official UEFA Man of the Match award in 2 out of 3 Germany games so far – Toni Kroos and Mesut Ozil, and in Belgium’s last 2 games – Axel Witzel and Eden Hazard
These awards are voted for on the UEFA website and it’s common to see the ‘star’ names pick up the awards…

In a quiet or low-scoring game it can take just one assist or key moment to grab the limelight. For example, Gareth Bale’s cross that led to an Own Goal was enough to land him the award in Wales’ 1-0 win over Northern Ireland game yesterday.

    9/2 and 7/1 picks…

The men that I like today are Toni Kroos for Germany and Kevin De Bruyne for Belgium.

Kroos already has one Man of the Match award to his name along with some impressive overall performance stats – the UEFA ‘Player Barometer’ has him 4th of all players for the tournament so far.

De Bruyne has yet to score or land the award but his influence has been there for Belgium – he created more chances than any other player in the Group Stage and is ranked 6th on those UEFA ratings…

I’m splitting a stake across both men today…

UEFA Man of the Match – Toni Kroos is a best price 7/1 (8.00) with Coral, 13/2 (7.50) Boylesports, 6/1 (7.00) in general.

UEFA Man of the Match – Kevin De Bruyne is a best price 9/2 (5.50) with Bet365, 4/1 (5.00) in general.

    Euro 2016 Picks…

My pick of the prices today are:

France v Rep of Ireland – Half Time – Draw @ 21/20 (2.05) with Stan James
Germany v Slovakia – UEFA Man of the Match – Toni Kroos @ 7/1 (8.00) with Coral AND Hungary v Belgium – UEFA Man of the Match – Kevin De Bruyne @ 9/2 (5.50) with Ladbrokes.
